avenue K stands today as one of kuala lumpur’s “curiousity” building, raising issues, and questions and inquisition, simply because no one really knows who did what on it, except that along Jalan Ampang, the facade is an impressive 180m long glass wall, and inside, there is an atrium looking very much like a museum no no resemblance whatsoever to a shopping mall. We think that this design concept is a breakthrough and it serves to remind people that shopping cannot be a bad thing, and it can be infused with activities to embrace mass culture.

zlgdesign’s website serves to keep a full and accurate record of events that led to its inception, vision and concept design, the ongoing construction issues and its current progress to date.

avenueK’s current timeline is 2 years to completion of the podium block, the KResidence Towers whose interiors and plans have been fully developed by zlgdesign, are completing soon, structurally rising to 42 storeys, whereas the 2nd Tower comprising the WHotel component and Conran Apartments should see construction starting further towards the end of this year.
